DIY Metallic Gold & Copper Wedding Jars & Bottles for Flowers...

It was our wedding reception on Friday night, so I can now share this little DIY tutorial with you this afternoon.

Rust-Oleum kindly offered to send me some of their fabulous spray paints and I have been eager to try them out. So we decided to arrange our blooms in collected jars, tins and bottles painted in copper and gold.

Here's how to recreate the look, it's so easy and very friendly on the budget.

An assortment of vessels. With labels removed (soak in hot soapy water for 3o minutes.)

Rust-Oleum Metallic. We used gold, bright gold and copper shades.

Poles.

Place some stakes in the ground and pop your bottle on top. Make sure you are in a well ventilated area, preferably outdoors and wearing protective or old clothing.

Shake the paint can thoroughly and follow the instructions. Spray the bottle evenly and lightly until desired coverage.

Leave to dry, before arranging your pretty blooms. I picked some from our garden for this tutorial.

Super simple. We sprayed around 50 vessels and they totally transformed the look. You could try some different effects with creating drips, stencils or adding illustrations and glitter too. The options are endless.

Happy crafting xo Lou
