With wedding season in full swing, our latest DIY project is a sweet and simple one perfect for the last minute bride! The confetti toss has to be one of the most photogenic moments of any wedding, an explosion of colour and joy right after you've said you're I do's!

With just printer, scissors and minimal skills on a sewing machine (fret not, there's even a no-sew option for those of you who are not applying to the next series of The Great British Sewing Bee!). Of course you can make this your own my switching up the confetti - whether it's traditional rice, pretty petals or colourful paper shapes! Don't forget to grab our free DIY confetti envelope printable labels too!

YOU WILL NEED:

METHOD:

Step 1

Download and print the label template (there are 10 on each sheet). I have used a pearlescent printer paper but standard copier paper works just as well.

Step 2

Cut out the labels, it's better to stay just inside the lines so that they are trimmed off during this process, the finished labels look much neater this way.

Fill your envelopes with confetti

Fold down the top of the envelope and fold the label in half, slotting it over the top.

A row of machine stitches holds the little packet closed. If you don't have a sewing machine, try a staple in the middle instead, you can get some lovely coloured staples, copper are my favourite!

This neat little package would look super cute bundled into baskets for your guests to help themselves before the confetti toss, or if you're planning a confetti shower as you walk back down the aisle, leave one waiting on each seat!
