We love everything that comes with weddings: the chaos, the beauty, the love and the memories. However, one thing we urge all brides to do is take it all in. Schedule in some time, if you have to, to literally just enjoy the pensive morning moments, the last moments of being a Miss. Below Samantha of Orange Photographie describes where the inspiration for the lovely reflective editorial came from and why stillness is just as evocative as movement. The expressions on this bride's face and the stunning floral art by our favorite, Ashley of Tinge Floral just blew us away in this one...

From Samantha of Orange Photographie: "Every soul innately yearns for stillness, for a space, a garden where we can till, sow, reap, and rest, and by doing so come to a deeper sense of self and our place in the universe. Silence is not an absence but a presence. Not an emptiness, but repletion. A filling up." - Anne D. LeClaire

This quote was the inspiration behind our collaboration with Ashley Beyer of Tinge Floral. The goal was to create an environment that was hushed and serene. We wanted to evoke a sense of tranquility through our images. Film shoots often center so much around movement, and while we love motion captured on film, we wanted to explore the idea of stillness and silence and how these elements can communicate just as much as movement. Silence is powerful and restorative. In our world, so much emphasis is placed on busyness and being constantly on the go, that we forget to breathe new life into our beings by just being still. We believe that moments of stillness and silence on a wedding day are so important. Wedding days can be incredibly hectic and frenzied, and we want to encourage the focus to be put back on the quiet, intimate moments that prepare you for such a significant moment in your history. Take time to be still and let the weight and beauty of it all sink in. In this spirit, Ashley created beautiful pieces of floral art, evocative of still life paintings by the old masters. Her talent is breathtaking and brought our vision to life. And the exquisite vintage dress from Gossamer was the perfect garment to convey the delicate tenor of our inspiration. Fresh, simple yet elegant hair by Edynn Shaw and makeup by Lesley Lind pulled everything together."
