Lucille and Matthew's wedding story is sure to put a smile on your face. The beautiful bride and groom were gleaming with joy on their special day. Take a few tips from Lucille; relax and really enjoy your big day, be sure your wedding is a shared experience that reflects both you and your partner.

The lovely couple exchanged vows and celebrated their marriage at Kearsney Manor. Photographed by Magriki Photography, the newlywed's happiness is captured beautifully. Lucille and Matthew share with us a bit of their story...

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

We were introduced by mutual friends. Matt is really shy so took forever to ask me out after that first meeting, but with plenty of pushing and shoving by friends, he got there eventually!

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

We went away to a beach house in Margate for Valentines weekend. After a magical day, Matt cooked me dinner and we sat listening to the sound of the waves drinking wine in the candlelight. Next thing I knew he produced a bottle of my favourite bubbles, and was down on one knee asking me to marry him! It was everything I wanted my proposal to be!

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Matt: Seeing my wife for the first time!

Lucille: I'm not sure if this is considered one moment, but the build up and then that first look with my groom would be it! I woke up to a beautiful letter Matt had written me months before, but saved for our special day. All morning I was getting updates from all the ladies around me about what he was doing, how he was feeling and when he was ready. When we did finally see each other that morning, my heart exploded with love! Here was my future husband, my best friend and the man I wanted to spend forever with! We had our photos before the wedding, so spending those first few moments together, just the two of us, was truly incredible.

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

Full of love, laughter, tears (of joy!) and kisses!

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Go with your gut, always! Matt and I planned our wedding in 4 months, and those first, instinctual decisions you make are the ones to go with! Otherwise you will drive yourself crazy with all the options out there!
And plan together! This day should be a reflection of you both, and planning together will only strengthen your bond! It did for us xx
