The Bride Wore Yellow at this Quirky New England Wedding

Because who says you have to wear a white wedding dress? Erin + James wanted their wedding to be fun, quirky and relaxed. Spending time with their family and friends while celebrating their marriage was the most important thing on their agenda, and they accomplished just that! Planned by Elizabeth Lutz of Glass Boutique Planning and set at a private residence along the water in Rhode Island, the two chose navy and yellow as their colors, and strove for a classic New England feel with a bold + modern twist. The bride, Erin, rocked an amazingly vibrant yellow dress + cape and geometric-heeled shoes. They feasted on oysters at the cocktail hour, and whole fish at dinner... To top it off, the couple led a New Orleans-style second line parade to their tent reception, and the whole community danced and enjoyed themselves well into the night.

The couple shares We were the first on each side of our (fairly large) families to get married. Which meant that there was some pressure to make sure the day was very special and perfect. Instead of panicking about this, we embraced it. What a privilege to get to go first and start new traditions. Our guiding principle throughout the planning process was to keep it fun! We skipped the traditions we were not crazy about and did what felt comfortable. We walked each other down the aisle, my sister officiated, and our first dance was an "everybody on the dancefloor" free for all. We kept things casual because we wanted everyone to feel really comfortable so they could cut loose and have an excellent time.

Ready to head to New England for all the fun, photographed by City Love Photography? Let's go!!

GORGEOUS!

Those stunning florals are by Fig & Squill. How pretty is all the leafy greenery?

The way Erin's dress from Etro pops against the coastal colors!!

Oh so sweet.

Those SHOES!! We love these sweet heels by Frances Valentine.

That tent setup is spectacular, especially with the string lights!
