Intimate, Modern Palm Springs Wedding: Kellie + Jake

Intimate, Modern Palm Springs Wedding: Kellie + Jake

via

Today's intimate, modern Palm Springs wedding, planned by Marina Tolentino of Bustle Events, is just too much good, we almost don't know the right words to describe it. (But you know us, so you know we'll try!) Let's start with the bride, Kellie's, s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g Badgley Mischka Couture wedding dress. That amazing gold detailing? We're way into it. On top of that, we're digging the sweet, intimate vibe Kel and Jake created for their day. They say, We loved the idea of just our closest family and friends from all over the country coming together to celebrate; we wanted to spend individual time with all of them. Since we knew we'd be having a small guest count, we really wanted to focus on the dinner table - sitting everyone down to one long table with a beautiful table scape filled with lots of glistening golds and whites. Ambiance was top of mind for the big day complete with an incredible meal (by Workshop Kitchen + Bar), handmade old fashioneds (thanks to The Whaling Club), live music, all under glowing strings of lights.

Sounds so perfect, right? And our girl, Katie Pritchard, captured it all just beautifully. We promise, if you scroll down slowly and soak it all in, you'll feel just like you are guest at this wedding!

Gah, that dress. And that bouquet, too! Layered Vintage nailed it with that beauty!

Both: Reciting and hearing each others personal vows. Verbalizing our love to each other and in front of others was well worth the difficulty of transcribing our feelings.

Kellie: After our "I do's" we went out into the desert to take some rad pictures and share a moment with just the two of us. It ended up being incredibly windy, which made for a awesome photo shoot filled with plenty of laughs.

Jake: During dinner we had the opportunity to walk around the table to chat and cheers with everyone. Sharing a moment with each person that meant so much to us was exactly what we had wanted from the very beginning.
Any advice for those planning now?

The wedding was officiated by Flora Pop, who brings their ultra-fun mini trailer along to events!

We just love these playful desert portraits!

The tablescape was sleek, featuring modern wares in gold + ivory hues. Shop our faves within this palette in our guide below!

Go with your gut instinct. As just one example, we went back and forth over what type of table fit best into our vision: farm vs linen, the width, etc. All that time measuring tables and looking at colors and options was nothing short of stressful. We ended up choosing a linen that we hadn't seen in person but felt right, and it was perfect! Along with the extra wide king tables for our family style meal it was exactly what we had visioned. Invest the time to choose the right vendor team. Our vision would not have come together without such an amazing supporting cast.
