Pop-Up Washington Campsite Wedding: Bethany + Cory

Pop-Up Washington Campsite Wedding: Bethany + Cory

via

You may remember Bethany + Cory from their gorgeous double engagement session feature we shared last year. We're excited to continue along on their journey today, by sharing their s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g Washington campground wedding, captured to perfection by Benj Haisch. The location just cannot be beat + we're pretty smitten with the details + their styling. (Just wait until you get a closer view of Bethany's backless boho dress by The Jetset Diaries!)

Bethany tells us, We both love the Pacific Northwest outdoors, and thought Lake Cushman would be perfect for our special day. I grew up going camping where the wedding took place, and later on in life my parents bought property, and then eventually a cabin. Together as a couple we have shared so many fun memories and thought a DIY/pop-up wedding would fit our style.

To complete her perfect bridal look, Bethany wore a headpiece from Untamed Petals by Amanda Judge + carried a woodsy, textural bouquet by Jay Melilli. Cory looked dapper in a stylish Topman Premium suit paired with rad, lace-up boots by Common Projects.

This setting is pretty unreal!

Suggesting your 'maids wear white, too? Give them a head start by having them shop this list of our fave finds below:

Bethany's parents, Bob and Joanne, helped with the design + handmade most of the decor for the day. Bethany says, They made 300 wood coasters for each guest to take home, a wood arbor covered in moss, flowers, and eucalyptus. My dad made 6 tables made from driftwood, all the chandeliers, the whole wood structure that held up the lights, a cake stand made from driftwood, a mic stand, the wood center pieces with candles, and more wooden decor around the area. All I wanted was to dance under twinkly lights, and he made that happen possible more beautifully than anyone could imagine.

We can add these shots to our running list of all-time faves!

Besides saying our vows, my dads speech (Bethany's dad) was a long, written poem that was memorable and special. He had everyone in tears. Also, dancing under the twinkling lights was memorable.

Make sure you don't forget a steamer or iron for the day of the wedding :) Also, just breathe during the day. Remember that it's about you as a couple, and that nothing else matters. All the details will fall into place. And make sure you hire a wedding videographer. Some couples don't because the think the photos are enough (which of course the photographer captures still moments which are just as important!) but there's something about a videographer that captures something different and you will remember those "real life moments" just as much as photos. It's worth it and remember to save it in your budget! Otherwise just use a small video camera or go pro and pass it around to the guests to capture the whole day. Also, for people who are on a budget... To put this whole wedding into perspective, with all of the supplies + catering + videographer, ours was just under $20K. You can easily do a magical wedding for under $20k, you just have to be crafty and strategic about how you use your budget.
