Hair VS Humidity: How to Win the Battle

Hair VS Humidity: How to Win the Battle

via

With temperatures still hitting the 100s and humidity taking over our locks ( and our faces), it's time to get serious with our hair routines. No more walking out the door unprepared and ending up with a ball of frizz on top of our heads! Prevent the poof with these four steps to frizz-free success! You got this ...

It Starts in the Shower

Keeping the frizz at bay starts with the right suds. If your hair is prone to poofing, use a lightweight, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner in the shower to give your hair the hydration it needs. This way it doesn't go looking for moisture in all the wrong places (like the humid air).

Layer on the Frizz-Control Formulas

Now, on to applying the proper frizz-fighting essentials! While your hair is still damp, (not dripping wet), apply an oil-based hair serum, starting mid-shaft and working down to the ends. Use a finger comb to make sure the solution is evenly distributed. Try Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti Frizz Serum, which delivers three days worth of shiny, smooth and manageable hair - even in the most humid situations!

For extra smooth strands that last all day (er, days), rough dry hair until it's just slightly damp and then, using your blowdryer and a round brush, direct the heat downward toward your ends. This technique prevents flyaways and frizzy ends. Once you've completely finished (make sure there are NO wet spots), give your hair a blast of cool air to seal the cuticle and keep moisture out!

All that's left to do is give your strands a light spritz using an anti-frizz, anti-humidity hairspray like L'Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle LOCK IT Weather Control Hairspray and you'll be rollin' frizz-free for 48 hours.
