A Nostalgic Save the Date

Save the Dates give the first taste for what your event will look and feel like and when it comes to a holiday wedding or feast it's always nice to get your guests in the atmosphere early on that stage. For example, Nofar (a My Day bride) and her partner Orgad chose to take elements from the retro greeting cards and combine them in their beautiful Save the Date cards. Their postcards take us back to our childhood with a wonderful scent of nostalgia.

A Unique Wedding Invitation

When we came across Hadas and Alon's wedding invitation we just knew we had to share it with you. Just like with the Save the Date we saw above, these more formal invites can include holiday features and by doing so getting the guests pumped and excited about what's to come on your big day. Each invitation by the couple was accompanied by a retro magnetized "Shana Tova" greeting card and the invitation itself was inspired by Roni Rappoport's greeting cards. The entire design was designed under the same language - they had placemats, escort cards attached to small cocktail bottles and thank you notes).

DIY Alert: Hadas & Alon printed the cards from the web, cut around them with shaped scissors, sprinkled some glitter on top and then glued the magnet from the back.

Tasteful Escort Cards

One way where you can really go wild and creative when it comes to your wedding design is with the escort cards. They usually won't take a lot of effort and time to make, they get your guests in the mood before they even enter and they can easily fit any type of concept you chose. Our next adorable idea is not only super simple to create but is also edible - apples with tied name tags. You can obviously chose to go with one or two colors of apples or mix them up with some pomegranates.

Festive and Beautiful Centerpieces

We just love holiday weddings, especially when one of the first things that we can relate to are the wonderful centerpieces which remind us how much beauty can be found on one table. It is really easy to take elements from the holiday especially Rosh Hashana and incorporate them at weddings. For example, take the centerpieces or flower arrangements, just add a few apples or a pomegranate in the mix and you get the holiday spirit. Another option is to take planters and dress them as gifts wrapped with beautiful wrapping paper which will add color and character to the table.

One of the prominent trends at weddings in Israel and around the world are the "Signature Cocktails" where the couple chooses a cocktail that will reflect their character by either choosing specific ingredients or naming the cocktail with a unique name on their wedding day. The cocktails van be based on sweet and light ingredients that will reflect the summery mood or even on spicy elements that will reflect the couple's sassiness character. In between all of the preparations and craziness, it warms our hearts to see couples who take the time to involve some good social deeds. Whether it's giving away your wedding food leftovers to families in need or taking a creative stance and creating giveaways that were produced by different social organizations, such as the youth center of Migdalor Negba from Bat Yam who created these beautiful honey jars. Vintage Postcards Mailbox

We know that the idea of incorporating vintage elements in your wedding design such as nostalgic family photos or a vintage mailbox for the wedding cards is not a new concept, however at a Rosh Hashana wedding this concept get a whole new meaning. The traditional postcards exchange that take place during the holidays have been replaced with the new media ways of sending an email or a whatsapp message and so we thought it would be nice to go back to the old nostalgic way of doing things and placing a mailbox at the reception where guests could either leave their Rosh Hashana wishes for you.
