If you've visited us here at Fly Away Bride before you might know we're huge fans of film photography and well, the shoot we have for you today is the type we exist to showcase. A collaboration between Momento Cativo Photography and stylist Hoje é especial based in their native Planalto Mirandês region of Portugal, this shoot, like the best type of destination wedding photography, lets the light and the setting do the talking. Hoje é especial tells us:
"The overall look that we wanted to create was very natural, raw and organic and after a location scouting trip I found a place that I was totally in love with- I knew would be perfect for this editorial. I've lived most of my entire life in the city but moved to Planalto Mirandês three years ago and it rejuvenated my spirit. I wanted to pay homage to my origins, to the honest people here and to the land that I love, so I foraged a bouquet and used elements that have a history- things that belonged to my grandparents, that have meaning. Despite the fact that in weddings you have to plan ahead, sometimes if you follow your heart it will come together naturally, which is what I love about this shoot."

"The second official language of Portugal is the Mirandese language and is spoken in Planalto Mirandês. Earlier this year a close friend of mine and the community here sadly died of cancer. A writer and a poet, I just had to use one of his poems as inspiration:
