As we've said many times before, choosing to document your day in photos or film, will ensure that all the time, thought, work, and money that went into your wedding day can be remembered and enjoyed by you and your family, long after you've eaten your wedding cake and hung up your dress.

What makes great wedding photography?

There are many forms of photography and individual interpretation on what it should be (let alone skill sets). Personally, I am there to tell a story; to capture the moments that make that story. These photographs should make the viewer stop and think. What drives great wedding photography is passion about my work and that I love what I do.

How would you describe your style?

A balance of shooting real moment and flash lit portraits. I like to work in the evenings as the light changes and also take advantage of the wedding venues' architecture too.

How did you get into wedding photography?

I did a fair amount of second shooting for a helpful photographer and then things got more serious when I was asked to shoot some of my friends' weddings.

What do you love about your job?

Getting better as a photographer and being able to meet so many interesting people.

What are your top 5 tips for choosing a wedding photographer?

Firstly, you should fall in love with their style and see that consistently throughout their work. The personality of the photographer is important too. Are they easy going and confident for example? How experienced is the photographer? How many weddings have they shot? How long have they been a professional? I would be interested in what other clients have said about them as well. A string of happy clients in the past is a good sign that clients in the future will be happy too. Finally, are they within your budget?

Such stunning photographs. I love David's impromptu shots, but the portraits are just beautiful too.

As for the name, Make Time Stand Still, what a perfect way to describe exactly what wedding photography should do for a couple, capture a moment in time and save it forever!
