Stylish Flats and Kitten Heels for Bridesmaids

Sex and the City was on TV this last weekend, and I've got to say, that Carrie Bradshaw must have feet of stone. Because no one I know can have a schedule like that and wear heels for all of it. There's certainly a time for pretty, statement heels that jack your height up five inches, but 24/7, 365? No, thankyouverymuch. The ladies in your bridal party are going to be on their feet all day, from helping you get ready to saying goodbye to the last guests at the reception. Save their feet with these adorable options for flats and kitten heels.

Preppy weddings are such a popular theme for spring, and thankfully, nothing goes with a preppy bridesmaid dress like a pair of classic flats. Channel your inner Heather with a bow (above) or just a pair of geranium-hues perfection like the Kate Spades below.

If your preppy palette is all about the navy and forest green, go with a pair of patent leather ankle straps in nude (below). As a bonus, these little cuties will go with just about anything, so your friends can take them from office-to-date long after your wedding.

Sparkle isn't reserved for heels. All that glitters can also look swell in flats and petite heels. Below, these demure black shoes have sparkly black straps.

Metallics are still a huge trend for 2015, so if your plan is to cover your wedding in shades of gold, silver, bronze, or copper, why not also incorporate it into your bridesmaids' shoes? These black kitten heels with thin gold stripes (below) would ideally complement a gold sequined shift.

Flats like these bronze (above) and silver jeweled (below) options would be a nice accompaniment to a simple a-line bridesmaid dress, or even a summery romper for those less conventional bridal parties.

One typical spring and summer wedding trend is a total saturation of color. After months of gray and snow and blah, it's so refreshing to see pops of bright shades once again. These polka dot slingbacks are divine, right? Pair them with a deliciously retro dress and you are good to go.

For modern brides with bridesmaids in really simple dresses, a pair of bright shoes can really make the whole ensemble pop. These t-strap flats in cobalt (below) would be pretty alone or with a pair of lightly-colored tights.

LBDs are all the rage for bridal parties. And this is delightful news for those of us who are on the practical side, and only want to buy a dress if we're going to wear it again. For an elegant, evening wedding pair your little black dress with a chic d'orsay kitten heel in black, or a simple silvery shoe.
