Benefit's They're Real Push-up Liner is still a relatively new beauty product but it has already been hailed by many beauty bloggers this year as an excellent buy! I picked up a free sample with Elle Magazine, and couldn't wait to put it to the test!

Pros:

• Super easy to apply! I'm often nervous about applying eyeliner but this applicator makes it effortless . It is also comfortable to apply as the applicator is flexible, smooth and soft.
• When applied, the product seems to spread and bleed (in a good way). Benefit describes this as 'lash hugging' and it does! It creates a thicker line, much easier than having to super fill it in.
• Creates a dramatic look, quickly and easily without any stress.
• The consistency was just right - it's a gel formulation so it's not too thin or runny.
• It is comfortable to wear! I have sensitive eyes and sometimes when eye liners dry after application - you can feel it and I hate that. I barely knew the Benefit They're Real was on!
• I got plenty of compliments!

Cons:

• It did smudge after only four hours - not so great if you have smudged liner on a long work day or a night out! I applied just the eye liner but perhaps if you set it with a black eyeshadow or use a good eye primer this may not happen.
• If you don't want such a bold look, this probably isn't the liner for you!

So, if you're a fan of the winged, cat-eye liner look as worn by Lana Del Rey and Alexa Chung, as well as the timeless Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn - you will easily achieve it with Benefit They're Real Push-up Liner!
