Dramatic Abruzzo Engagement Session | Fly Away Bride

Silvia and Jason's engagement session took place in one of the most beautiful regions of Italy- Abruzzo. Hailing from Italy and Missouri in the US, the couple travelled to the highlands of Campo Imperatore situated in the National Park of Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga, with Wedding Reporter along to capture their day. In appearance this region is akin to Tibet, with a likeness also to the canyons of North America and even parts of Ireland. Basically, as you'll see, it's pretty dramatic landscape.

Silvia and Jason stopped off at the mountaintop castle of Rocca Calascio, included by the National Geographic Magazine among the fifteen most beautiful castles in the world. The site has been used as a location for several films, most notably Ladyhawke, The Name of the Rose and most recently The American. What a perfectly breathtaking location for an engagement shoot!
