Rochelle and Graham met in grade 10 gym class and were together nine years before Graham eventually popped the question. "Everytime we did anything special or even when we just went out for dinner I thought he would propose," says Rochelle. "Graham knew this and he wanted only one thing, for me to be caught off guard and to be surprised. One afternoon, while at our house we were getting ready to go for a walk and he got down on one knee and popped the question! I was so surprised I didn't even answer him for about five minutes because I was crying so much! Even though it may not be some extravagant and romantic story to some, it was perfect and romantic to me because he accomplished what he set out to do. It was perfect."

For their big day, the couple agreed on a colour palette of navy and yellow complemented with rustic accents. "For a rustic feel, we added a lot of wood, burlap and twine to our centrepeices, cake stand and aisle runners," explains Rochelle.

The couple agree that locking eyes as Rochelle walked down the aisle was the best moment of the day. "I was having a little bit of anxiety but as soon as we were able to make eye contact I instantly felt at ease and it was as if there was no one else in this world," Rochelle reminisces.
