A family-owned country estate, hailing back to Georgian times and set in the rolling South West countryside, Pennard House is not only licensed for civil ceremonies, but also has a picturesque 14th Century village church just across the lawn.

Imagine the romance of a Jane Austen novel, combine that with the elegant details of Georgian architecture and add the warm welcome of a family home...sounds pretty perfect doesn't it?! AND the luxurious house and stunning grounds can be exclusively yours for your wedding, so you can truly relax with family and friends.

The Pennard House team are holding a private view on 27th September 2014 where you can see the house at it's most beautiful - when ready for a wedding of course! Each couple will be taken on an individual tour of the house and grounds, and champagne & canapés on the lawn will help you get a feel for what your wedding day could be like.

Georgina at Pennard House:The idea of the Pennard House Private View developed from our wish to let couples experience Pennard House as it is when beautifully decorated on a wedding day. Because our couples have complete exclusivity on their wedding day, we sometimes find it difficult to squeeze in those who want to visit Pennard House around the weddings taking place. We always want to give potential couples a personal experience but there is often just not enough time!

So we decided to put aside a Saturday where we will decorate all our spaces such as the Civil Ceremony room, the picturesque village church, the Coach House as well as the gardens and grounds as if there is a wedding happening.

Each couple will still meet independently with one of the Pennard House team and have a tour before being able to wander around the gardens themselves to see the Victorian fresh water swimming pool and perhaps pop into one of our 16ft luxury tipis!

Furthermore, there will only be a few key suppliers involved such as our caterers so the couples can taste a canapé or two and of course have a glass of champagne! Flowers will be done by the talented Nicky Llewellyn. In order to make sure that our couples have their own time to discuss their wedding ideas, visits are by appointment only.

We have tried to design the day to really reflect a wedding at Pennard House where we hope our couples have a relaxed, beautiful and unique experience just like their own wedding day!
