Rose and Mike credit Brock University for bringing them together. "Mike was in one of my classes and I noticed him when he walked in late one morning," explains Rose. "One day while we were studying for an exam I went to buy Timbits as an excuse to talk to him." After the couple graduated, Mike brought Rose back to their university campus to pop the question.

For their wedding, the couple decided on a rustic-chic theme with a muted colour palette of grey and purple. "Our venue was full of wooden beams and brick fireplaces and we wanted to keep the same warm feeling," Rose explained. The couple complemented their reception venue with woodsy accents, wine barrels and a stunning naked cake.
