I so love this sweet and quirky wedding day of Carla and Jay who married back in February of this year. There were pops of red in the roses, attire and Carla's fabulous red lipstick choice.

Carla and Jay wanted their day to reflect their personalities with a touch of Alice in Wonderland.

Carla had the most gorgeous bridal looks with her bob fringe hair style, pretty veil and Pronovias gown. The bridesmaids looked super lovely in neutral dresses from Boohoo. Love it.

THE PROPOSAL | Jay proposed to me whilst we were on the plane on our way to Greece, In the aisle as we were flying.

THE VISION | We always wanted a day that would reflect our personalties, we just wanted a great time with all of our closest friends and family! We decided to have an alice in wonderland theme because of Carla's love for it! We knew we could add tons of cool details and with our amazing friends we could create the perfect wedding we both wanted.

THE PLANNING PROCESS | We spent 2 and a half years planning the wedding, searching every charity shop we could to find the perfect vintage details to add to our theme. We fell in love with the venue at first look and I fell in love with my dress instantly.

THE VENUE | The Ashes in Endon, Staffordshire. It was one of the first venues we viewed and we fell in love with it instantly because of the old converted milk barns and picturesque views. We knew it would fit in perfectly with out theme and we could decorate exactly how we wanted it to be.

THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | The dress was from Pronovias from bridal couture by Josephine in Cheadle. My hair accessories and veil were also from the same bridal shop. Shoes were by Vivienne Westwood.

FINDING THE DRESS | The dress left me breathless, I could not believe how amazing it was, It fitted me perfectly and I haven't and don't think will ever see a dress so beautiful. I think I had the best dress in the world for me and will be forever thankful to my wedding dress shop and designer

GROOM'S ATTIRE | Jays suit was from Greenwoods in Staffordshire.

THE READINGS & MUSIC | We were lucky enough to have one of our best friends do a reading for us, it was so special and touched both of our hearts. We are so lucky to have the most amazingly talented friends so we had two of them play acoustic sets for us during the day.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | We wanted a simple style for our bridesmaids dresses and found them on Boohoo. We wanted to keep the bridesmaids as natural as possible and found the perfect shoes on ebay.

THE FLOWERS | Our florist was Natalie's florist in Newcastle Under Lyme

THE CAKE | We don't particularly like cake but we do LOVE cheese, so decided to have a cake of cheese instead. We bought it from Brown & Greens in Trentham Gardens.

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Our Photographer was Dan Hough. Dan was perfect for our day and captured every moment perfectly. We couldn't be happier with the photos and cant stop showing them to friends and family

THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | Charity shopping was our life for two years, trying to hunt out the perfect details for the ideas we had. A lot of stuff was also made by maid of honour Emily who is a fantastic designer.

THE HONEYMOON | We went to Jamaica for our honeymoon, it was completely magical!

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | We literally cant choose one single favourite part of the day everything was completely magical and perfect.

ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Embrace the stress because it only happens once and you'll miss it once its gone!
