Wedding Venues in Mallorca, Spain

Are you allergic to the thought of a package wedding? If so, you might not think to look twice for a wedding venue on the Balearic Islands…. but you’d be missing out. We have already proven this point by taking a closer look as to what Ibiza has to offer in terms of unique wedding venues and so this week, we are starting off on the search for small, luxury wedding venues in Mallorca, Spain. Mallorca, or Majorca, is the largest of the Balearic Islands and has long been a popular destination for package holiday makers all over Europe. The capital, Palma, is full of large hotels that also offer these wedding package holidays but if this not your cup of tea, you really don’t have to venture too far. Mallorca has so much to offer if you dare to leave the main tourist traps. The countryside is dotted with beautiful villages and fincas so quaint that if you are currently torn between a villa wedding in Italy and a chateau in the south of France, then you are in trouble today as we are about to throw an unexpected finca or three into the mix.

Finca Hotel Son Palou

This Majorcan mountain farm really is a true wedding venue find and we are simply in love with it. Nestled atop the Tramuntana mountains, Son Palou has amazing views over the valley of Orient, a very small but massively picturesque mountain village only 25 minutes from Mallorca’s capital and sits amongst some of Mallorca’s only apple and cherry orchards. You won’t find tourists in their thousands here, so if you are just not into the busy crowds that flock to this island from May to September or yearn for something a little more traditional than the larger hotel wedding packages in Palma, then Son Palou may be for you. There are a total of 14 bedrooms, some with jacuzzis, most with antique beds, so there is every opportunity to have a wedding party take over this property for a few days in its entirety. There is also a restaurant, spa facilities and an infinity pool. Orient also has a church for the wedding ceremony (and a very pretty one at that!) a few other restaurants, a bar and alternative accommodation for wedding guests and being such a short journey from Mallorca’s main airport, it’s coming up as our number one venue in Mallorca today.

Son Brull Hotel and Spa

The 5 star, Son Brull Hotel and Spa in the north village of Pollenca is one of the most luxurious wedding venues in Mallorca. Surrounded by 40 acres of olive and fruit trees, this hotel offers privacy and character with its rural backdrop but guests will be treated with the very best when it comes to modern comforts. Son Brull has 23 rooms and is open for weddings all year round but outside of June to September, it is also available as an exclusive use wedding venue in Mallorca. The hotel can host wedding receptions for up to 70 seated guests with a number of outdoor an indoor spaces available to choose from. The beach is 10 minutes away by car and the nearest town is the very picturesque Pollenca. Wedding guests will not be short of things to see and do!

Ca’n Verdera

Finally, our wedding venues in Mallorca roundup brings us to the very very pretty village of Fornalutx, where you will be lucky to find this beautiful wedding venue, Ca’n Verdera. Weddings are done on an intimate scale here and the finca can host seated wedding receptions for 25 people . The 11 rooms can also be booked for exclusive use ensuring complete privacy and relaxation. Ceremonies can take place in the local church in Fornalutx which is also very picturesque. For larger weddings, a buffet style reception is possible for up to 50 guests and as far as accommodation goes, guests won’t be stuck with the town being such a short distance away. Again, the nearest beach is about 15 minutes away by car but if peace and quiet is one of the items on your wedding venue check list, you can certainly tick this one off.

We hope you enjoyed today’s round up. If you are still searching for the perfect wedding venue and need some help, then get in touch! We are so happy to help! Have a great Monday x
