Sipho & Stef's Rosemary Hill Wedding - Wedding Friends

Sipho & Stef's Rosemary Hill Wedding - Wedding Friends

via

Almost high school sweethearts, Sipho and Stef share their magical day with us today. The pair were married at the wonderfully scenic, Rosemary Hill. Photographed by Jack and Jane Photography, the couple's love and loyalty to one another is effortlessly encapsulated.

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

Although we had attended the same school, we had never spoken to each other. Four years ago, we both happened to attend a Beerfest at our old school. After having a few too many drinks, I decided to pluck up the courage to speak to Sipho. We realised that we actually stayed a few houses away from each other and I invited him to attend a dinner party at my house. He agreed, and that was the beginning of our beautiful story together.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

As we both share a great fondness of animals, Sipho wanted to incorporate our dogs into the proposal. On the 1 October 2014, after having asked my dad for my hand in marriage, he attached the engagement ring to our pitbull Asterix's collar. The dogs could obviously sense the excitement in the air and were not playing along! Sipho then asked me to check if something was wrong with Asterix's collar. I couldn't understand what could possibly be wrong with the collar and on inspection found the engagement ring attached to it. He then proposed to me, and I said "YES!"

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The were so many memorable moments that are precious to us: Our reverend comparing love to a dog and asking our friends and family to compare us to wine, to which my little 4-year old flower girl shouted out "juicy wine"; seeing Sipho's look on his face when I walked down the aisle; the amazing speeches, which included my mom reading out a poem my grandfather had written to us; being surprised by Sipho getting all of our first dance moves right.

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

The most magical and exhausting day of your our lives, that was filled with so much love, happiness and emotion from family and friends.
