By now we've made our obsession with oxblood pretty darn clear. So, it's only logical that we would come up with new ways to wear the color that has taken over our lives. Which is why we had makeup pro Alana Dawn show us how to wear our fave (and trendiest) lipstick of the season three different ways. Enjoy!

Think of this as oxblood lips with a twist! Line your lips with your favorite deep red or burgundy lip liner and fill in the corners. Using a lip brush or your finger, smudge the color towards the middle of your lips, leaving the center of your lips only slightly tinted.

Yes, we love a matte oxblood lippie (as you'll see next!), but this shade doesn't HAVE to go gloss-free to be vampy. Try a high-shine formula and add an extra layer of gloss for a pout that stands out!

Matte is where it's at! Line lips with a color similar to your lipstick and apply your matte shade using a lip brush for extra precision. Clean up any smudged lines with concealer since a lipstick this daring needs to look as perfect as can be!
