Sophie has been so busy since her first feature with us here at WWW. Not only has she sent out the cutest save the dates but she may have found the dress and has the ceremony booked. It's all coming together now. Thanks Sophie xo Lou

Hello all! Since my first post it's been very very busy, I feel like it's all go!

We've now booked the registrar, which is a big relief. I'm not sure how you book a civil service in other areas, but in Lancashire you have to call up at 9am a year to the day, and it's first come first served to secure the time you want to get married. Luckily I got through straight away, but it was a nerve wrecking morning!

Now the time is sorted we were able to send off some save the dates to give friends and family a year's notice. We scrolled through hundreds of save the date designs on Etsy, and really liked some of the designs by a group called Norma & Dorothy, based in Manchester. We plumped for a mini chalkboard design with a magnetic strip so they can be put on the fridge. I really love them and we got some great feedback when we gave them out. We liked the design so much that we're hoping to find a way to incorporate chalkboards into our wedding décor too.

We've also block booked a few rooms at two local hotels so everyone who needs a room doesn't need to panic - my mum has helped out on arranging that, which takes a lot of pressure away. Me and the bridesmaids will stay together at Samlesbury Hotel while Jamie and his groomsmen will be in a separate hotel, the Tickled Trout. I'm far too superstitious to risk us seeing each other the night before our wedding!

But by far the most exciting thing so far has been trying on wedding dresses - eek! I asked my mum, my maid of honour Amy and my sister in law Rachel to come with me to my two appointments in Clitheroe. It was all very exciting, but really overwhelming actually. There were so many dresses, and having three other people picking them out for you at the same time was a bit stressful! But once I got my head around it, it was lovely, and I must have tried on 30 dresses in two hours!

I feel like lots of brides say this, but I was still surprised to find that the sort of dress that suited me wasn't at all what I thought! I don't want to give too much away, but I imagined I'd go for a vintage-type, lacy, long-sleeves dress, but the dress I liked the most is very different to that! I haven't yet bought the dress, because I want to try a few more to make sure it really is what I want. But deep down I know I'll probably end up buying the one I think about every day, which happens to be the second one I tried on!

The best part of my day trying on dresses was when my big brother popped in with my baby niece, Erin. Cuddling her while wearing a wedding dress made me so so excited for our big day!
