Hello! I'm Helen Schryver (it's pronounced 'Scriver' but you can just call me Helen!)

I live by the sea in Kent with my lovely bloke and beautiful four year old daughter Olivia (aka 'The Rascal'). My favourite things include sunshine, mojitos, travel, cheese, doggies (all of which dominate my Instagram feed!) - and photographing people in love.

I first started snapping at the age of 14, when I inherited my grandfather's old Fujica film camera. From that very first moment I was smitten. The technology and methods have changed - you're more likely to find me clutching a digital camera these days - but the excitement and passion remain the same.

My wedding photography is largely unobtrusive, natural and a little bit quirky - often with a dose of humour thrown in! I'm a firm believer in capturing genuine, spontaneous moments rather than putting you in one awkward pose after another.

Although I'll give a little direction here and there throughout the day (to grab the odd group shot of family and friends, or to capture a few awesome portraits of just the two of you), I believe the best images are the ones that tell the awesome story of your day as it unfolds. My mission is to collect and preserve those little moments; the laughter, interlocked fingers, proud smiles, dancing...

I truly LOVE weddings so there's no clock-watching - my 'all day' coverage really does mean all day. I like to stay pretty late into the evening to get some kick-ass photos of all the action on the dancefloor - your wedding story wouldn't be complete without it!

I offer all my couples a free engagement shoot, which is a great opportunity to celebrate your engagement and to slow down and enjoy the run-up to the big day. Not everyone feels naturally at ease in front of a lens, so this little practice run is really useful for the camera-shy.

I'm based in Kent but love to travel, either within the UK or overseas if you are planning a destination wedding. I used to live in Spain and still visit regularly to photograph weddings, but will happily venture even further afield to capture your big day.

Standard pricing for weddings in 2015 and 2016 is £1295 and includes the following:

- 10+ hours of photography on the day (from bridal preparations until well into the evening!)
- 350-400 individually edited full-resolution images on bespoke USB, ready to print and share as you wish.
- An engagement shoot in a location of your choice (Kent or London).
- £50 credit towards a Folio album of your choice.
