It's hard to pull off a "relaxed" event, the type where everyone is having a great time and the details are natural and unfussy. But Ben and Sarah managed to do the impossible! Their Portland golf course wedding is effortless and fun. From the bride's reaction to tearing her dress sleeve while dancing ("It was during a Van Halen song. I wouldn't have had it any other way.") to the chalkboard serving as both program and guest book, this event was all about keeping it carefree. We both grew up nearby and knew we wanted something outside that highlighted the beauty of the Northwest. The location at Langdon Farms was so beautiful, convenient, with a great staff - when we learned there was an opening in June, it was a no-brainer!

There were so many meaningful and special moments throughout the day, ceremony, and reception. But overall, getting to share such a special time with all of our guests was really incredible. To look out and see family and friends who we've known throughout our lives all there together in one place just made such a wonderful day even better. We had people from 18 states including North Dakota, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Have fun with the process and try not to create any unnecessary stress for yourself with the planning. There are so many wonderful options out there for every detail you can think of. If you're confident in what you like and can get comfortable making a decision on something (without feeling like you need to see every option under the sun), you'll probably save yourself a lot of worry.
