We have a great guest post to share with you lovely people today by one of our Festival Brides faves, Jo Irving of Lovehair & Co. She is the guru when it comes to bohemian and festival inspired hair and make-up and we have featured many a shoot of hers in the 6 years that we have been running (6 years - wow that has gone quick!)

Today's post is all about what Jo likes to call the 'undone do.' Wedding hair that is relaxed, sexy and cool whether you are having it up or down. We are not one for too much structure when it comes to wedding hair, favouring the tousled look over anything else, so this post couldn't be more perfect. Hi babes, I'm so happy to be here, writing my first blog post for the chicks at Festival Brides. For those of you that don't know me yet, I am a bridal hair stylist and educator, passionate about the art of the 'cool bride.'

I've got to be honest..For a 'wedding hairdresser' I actually don't love 'wedding hair' The idea of wearing your hair in a formal, stiff up do to marry your beau freaks me out a bit. Why do people do that?!

I think hair should be sexy, relaxed and essentially - cool. A lot of this has to do with the products you use to get the right finish, but the right up do will change your life. Ok, maybe not your life, but you'll look reeeeaaalllly hot on your wedding day and it will compliment your dress and bring the whole 'shebang' together without making you look like Miss Marple - It's a thing, honest!

I've got some awesome how to's and shoots coming up for you over the next few weeks, but I want to start by giving you my low down on the 'undone do' and what I call the #coolbride

These styles were created by me for photo shoots and pretty much sum up the kinda styles I love..Not so simple that you could be going to the gym, just the right amount of 'done' to get married in...Or go dancing!

Sty les are undone and relaxed.

They can move and can be touched, y'know, like hair can.. Not a kirby grip or solid structure in sight!
