A Parisian Ballet Inspired Wedding Photoshoot - French Wedding Style

Bonjour, today we are jetting off to the city of love for a Parisian ballet inspired wedding photoshoot. Fancy joining us?!

Paris is the epitome of romance, with everything designed for love. It's no secret that lovers from all around the globe come to "The City of Love" each year in their millions. We think it is the perfect destination for an unforgettable wedding.

Today's inspiration shoot was inspired by one of the most beloved comic ballets Coppélia. It is a tale of magic and mischief and includes a touch of enchantment and a dash of romance.

Photographer The Visual Partners captured beautiful misty Paris and the concept for their shoot perfectly. The day was filled with blooms from florist Pando and a gorgeous two piece gown by Otaduy (we do love a two piece wedding dress especially when it involves romantic tulle).

The Visual Partners shares with us the tale of Coppélia throughout their beautiful images...

"This photoshoot has been inspired by the comic ballet Coppélia, which premiered in 1870 at the Théatre Impérial l'Opéra of Paris."

"Dr. Coppélius is a doctor who has made a life-size realistic doll, named Coppélia and dressed as a ballet dancer. The doctor was completely in love with her. But was also Franz, a village youth! Although he was supposed to get married to Swanilda, Franz was mesmerized by Coppélia's beauty and wanted to seduce her. He started climbing a ladder to her balcony, all in hopes of meeting her. However, he got caught by the Dr. Coppélius who locked him up to give him a potion and extract the "life force" from his body to use it to breath real life into Coppélia."

"Swanilda, Franz's fiancee, who had seen the whole scene decided to save her beloved one by dressing as the beautiful Coppélia and dancing to distract Dr. Coppélius."

"She dances again and again until she rescued Franz from the wicked Dr. Coppélius. Franz and Swanildafinally got married surrounded by family, friends and village neighbours. Love always win!"

If you are planning a trip to Paris then we have a treat for you, as expat in Paris Emily, gives us her inside guide to the best places to visit on a romantic weekend in Paris...

"No trip to Paris is complete without a visit to Montmartre and I like to wander up through Rue de Martyrs in the 9th towards the Sacre Coeur. Rue de Martyrs has a lovely village feel and don't forget to try a couple of the unbelievably good chou from Popellini, and stop in at L'Objet qui Parle for the best selection of vintage finds."
