They met at a sailing club as teenagers and continued their story with wedding celebrations at the beautiful Southport Yacht Club.

We first met...

We met each other at a youth sailing club on the Gold Coast in 2009.

We knew it was love...

Fairly soon after dating each other in high school.

The proposal...

We got engaged at the Byron Bay Lighthouse on the 24th of April, 2015. Awkwardly about 100 random bystanders erupted into applause when Hayley said, "Yes!"

Pre-wedding celebrations...

The week before the wedding boys went go-karting for their bucks party and us ladies had high tea before meeting up with the boys for dinner.

Our dream wedding...

We wanted a fairly traditional wedding with a grand/glam touch to it. Cocktail style reception for maximum socialising and having fun.

Wedding photography...

Our photographer was Mac from Mac Loxton Photography. He did an amazing job and stayed with us the whole day, capturing every moment in very high quality detail.

Ceremony venue...

St. Albans Chapel at The Southport School on the Gold Coast.

Reception venue...

The Southport Yacht Club in Main Beach.

The bridal party...

We had three bridesmaids and three groomsmen, all family, friends or co-workers.

The bridesmaids wore...

Gold sequin gowns.

The groomsmen wore...

Black suits with black ties and white rose boutonniere's.

The groom wore...

A Black Versace suit with a black bow tie.

The dress...

My wedding dress was a long and grand masterpiece from Ferrari Formal. Sweetheart neckline and a long train. I wanted a big dress for the ceremony since our chapel had a long isle and I had another smaller wedding dress that I changed into after our first dance at the reception.

Wedding bouquets...

White roses with crystal bedazzles.

Reception decor...

Our venue designer continued the theme of white and gold with cocktail style layout. We had gold fairy lights hung from the ceiling and beautifully decorated bridal table.

On the menu...

We had a cocktail style format with various finger food and two fork dishes, plus our red velvet three tier wedding cake.

Memorable moments...

Our getaway car from the chapel to the Yacht Club was Hayley's grandfathers 1934 Ford Coupe V8 Roadster in original condition. We were able to get some photos with the car by the water and show it off to the guests as the perfect attribute to our special day.

Wedding Soundtrack...

Our first dance was 'The Horses' by Daryl Braithwaite and the rest of our music was a mix of old and new popular songs. Our DJ Michael from We R DJ's who happily took requests.

The honeymoon...

We spent a week at a spa retreat in Kingscliff, NSW laying by the pool and exploring the beaches and nightlife.

Plans for the future...

We definitely want to start a family in the next coming years.

In 40 years you hope to...

Be retired on a boat in the Whitsundays!
