Chic & Modern Restaurant Wedding

Chic & Modern Restaurant Wedding

We've got an especially chic wedding to share with you guys today, one that's modern, stylish, and fun.

Jennie & San's restaurant wedding in Toronto was a laid-back celebration that was planned effortlessly.

Starting with a tea ceremony, and ending with great food and dancing into the night, their entire day was captured beautifully by Ten 2 Ten Photography.

From her cool pony tail and glam jewellery, to her phenomenal cut out backless gown, Jennie made for a stunning bride. And she kept the great style going, with her bridesmaids in minimal mixed nude hues.

San looked entirely dapper in his blue suit, jaunty bow tie, and red bout.

And tying their day together flawlessly, their choice of venue, a sleek restaurant in Liberty Village, with designer interiors that was made to look a little softer with pretty blooms and a lot more personalised with Jennie's sweet DIY favours.

Bespoke hand-painted emojis? Now that's a fun and thoughtful gift!

From The Bride

Both San and I have attended many weddings already and really didn't want to do the typical banquet style wedding. We also wanted to have something a bit more intimate as a result we really wanted to stay away from the traditional ideals. our planning started with our venue selection and once we found Mildred's it really set the tone of what type of wedding we wanted to have. We wanted something simple, classy and tasteful.

We loved the Sinatra table area with the wooden beams at Mildred's as well as the light fixtures on the ceiling hanging down like twinkling stars and the open kitchen concept. Our goal was to keep the decor clean and not overpower the space and wanted the evening to be pretty relaxed with no formal MC run the night. Our goal was to focus that evening on the great food, the venue and my guest. We love contemporary backdrops and clean lines and great lighting. I also feel like my wedding gown wasn't what a traditional bride usually wears and found that unique. I wanted to keep things clean and modern. Quite frankly, our wedding process hasn't been too stressful, it took us around 10 months to plan and we were able to get what we want, and most of the planning and decisions really came in the last month or so.

For our wedding, what made it special is really our guests. Everyone there has influenced our lives and so with that being said, the favours are very customized. I painted customized emojis on a wood slice with their names on it, and it turns into a magnet where they can take home afterwards. It may be some kind of inside joke or just who we believe they are to us.

Everyone was super excited about the wedding day. What also makes this special is, San is the only son in his family so I think his parents are thrilled to see him get married (he has two older sisters) and for my family, it's been a while since we have had a wedding to celebrate with my cousins, aunts and uncles. So it made for a fun night.

What a chic pair. And it sounds like their planning process was so easy - a couple after my own hearts!

Thanks so much to Ten 2 Ten Photography, and of course, Jennie & San for sharing their stylish wedding day with us.

Be inspired by more gorgeous real weddings.
