Tropical-Inspired Wedding in the English Countryside: Anisa + Damien

via

Bringing a taste of the tropics to Norfolk, England, the couple from today's insanely lovely wedding, Anisa + Damien, worked alongside the talented designers at Knot & Pop to bring their ideal (and super fun) celebration to life. The palette consisted of leafy greens mixed with powder pink, and a touch of coral + gold added in for good measure. There were two amazing statement flower arches - one for the ceremony and a second, crafted from paper palm leaf cut-outs, denoting the table assignment for the reception. And plenty of other stand-out styled moments in between! As Knot & Pop puts it, Each and every element and detail was considered to enhance the setting and experience for the couple and guests.

High fives for that! Let's immerse ourselves in the lush + beautifully unique setting - and it'll be easy to do so thanks to the gorge photos below by Matt Parry!

Anisa shares, Despite being obsessed with long lace arms and column style dresses up until that point, as soon as I stepped into this dress by Peter Langner from Browns Bride, I knew it was the one. It was the perfect dreamy combination of traditional and modern. Plus it had just the right amount of drama with a beautiful train. I loved the elegant box pleats and the nipped in waist with the low back, elegant feminine buttons and wide ribbon bow. The epitome of femininity. The smattering of guipure lace along the lower middle of the dress and the neckline felt modern and gave enough of a nod to lace without it taking over - just the right balance. It felt very romantic, very Audrey Hepburn. I also loved my long veil, a metre longer than my train, which I decided would be 100% tulle, with no lace at all so as not to take away from the detail and drama of the dress. Damien also loved the fact it was nothing like he expected me to choose.

I have a couple. I loved when I came through the floral gardens and turned the corner in the warm May breeze holding hands with my son Grayson (who was also holding my father's hand), seeing friends and family smiling back at us and Damien of course waiting at the end of the grassy aisle.
I also loved when Damien and I came out of the house, officially a married couple, with the sun shining down, to a welcome of cheers and a flurry of confetti. It felt so celebratory and warm and full of love.

The reception setting is just SO GOOD and we've put together a little shopping guide below so you can recreate this look for your wedding or home!

Knot & Pop says, We curated and conceptualized all elements of table-top stylings. Bespoke table runners were placed across tables, with custom made seat pad covers also tying into the couple's hero stationery design. White candle blocks were commissioned with taper candles dipped in coral peach paint, and dressed within.

And we're pretty in awe of the picture-perfect floral styling by the amazing Jo Flowers!

Get your dress hunt underway in good time as many boutiques need a six month timeline to get the order placed and the fits arranged in good time. Don't be afraid to step outside the box and do things differently; even if the wedding planner at the venue or friends or colleagues tell you that 'most couples' do something one way it may not be right for you and the biggest rule is that there is no 'right'; or 'wrong' when it comes to your wedding. Anything goes so don't be afraid to embrace that, be brave and do things your way. And get a planner involved if you can afford it. Knot & Pop came with so many amazing ideas, balanced with lots of logical thinking, that really gave us our dream day - it's a bit like magic how they do it.
