We love the clean-lined look of Scandinavian design and the photographer behind today's gorgeous editorial, Josh Gruetzmacher, was inspired by childhood memories of wandering through the hillsides of Southern Germany as he came up with the details to incorporate into the setting. Working with Be Hitched Event Planning and Design, the team set out to evoke the quiet elegance that comes from European countrysides, and also draw upon their love for European-inspired design.

Josh says, The gorgeous setting of Chalk Hill Clematis - a working flower, olive and honey farm nestled in the hills of Sonoma County - was like a mini Europe right in our backyard. That balance and play became a central theme to all details of the shoot - such as our bride wearing a relaxed, timeless LOHO Bride gown paired with modern designed Bryr Clogs. We highly value artisanal production and craftsmanship, and are proud to say that all of our products were picked from local vendors and artisans (including floral materials picked directly at the farm!). The images that resulted from this shoot are alive with the love that all of us bring to the table for our couples, day in and out.

We adore this simple, relaxed ceremony site, with green + white florals by Chestnut & Vine working alongside the natural, wooded backdrop.
