Rock the Frock French Wedding Shoot - French Wedding Style

via

Happy Saturday lovely readers! I hope you are enjoying the final weekend of February. To help kick the weekend off we have for you a lovely Rock the Frock French Wedding Shoot! It's a twist on the popular 'Trash The Dress' style shoots you may have heard of.

When I began the search for my wedding dress back in 2013 I knew straight away I wanted to buy my dress rather than hire it. I didn't like the thought of having to give it back after the big day. I now realise that it's probably not a bad idea especially if you have a tight budget.

I did purchase my dress and I'm glad I did because of the memories it holds but it does sit in our guest bedroom waiting for the day we hopefully have little girls who might wear it or at least re-use some of it to create their own. I wore my sisters veil from her wedding back in 1997, which was really special to me (perfect for your something borrowed), we wonder if it will make an appearance at my niece's wedding, she is only 12 though, so we have a while to wait!

I've thought of a few different ways I could re-use it and I love the idea that FWS vendor Sylvie from Atelier Déco'ps had when planning this shoot!

Not only do these lovely ladies get to wear their dresses again but they do so while eating delicious delights and reminiscing over their wedding days, how perfect!

This is not your typical trash the dress shoot, but more of an opportunity to rock the frock!

Sylvie from Atelier Déco'ps planned a shoot with four previous brides at the beautiful Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte in the Gironde area, and they all got a chance to wear their dresses again.

The brides enjoyed sharing their cherished memories with each other from their wedding days.

Pretty bouquets and delicious treats created by Jonathan Negre added beautifully to this shoot.

To make the day even more special the brides in question where surprised with the stunning venue, plus a hair and make up team to make them feel extra glamorous.

Although the brides didn't know each other beforehand, during the day they quickly became old friends as they all celebrated married life.

Do you have any ideas of what you may do with your wedding dress after your big day? If so we'd love to hear your ideas in the comments section below.

Have a wonderful weekend!

With love,
Christina x
