Spring weddings celebrate not only the new beginning of the wedded couple, but also the spectacular start to warmer weather, bright blooms, and (finally) more sunshine! Here are 5 color palettes ideal for spring weddings.

Blue on Blue

With serenity blue being one of Pantone's color of year, we expect to be seeing lots of blue in 2016 weddings. And although you certainly could pair it with a light blush like Pantone did, we really love it with more vibrant blues. A gorgeous monochromatic effect, it is a color palette that is powerful, but elegant.

The colored glass and china pattern on the serenity blue table linens above illustrate how lovely and refined this palette can be. For your centerpieces, use a variety of pale and bold flowers, and even throw in a few blueberries or blackberries for good measure. As calligraphy on cakes is super popular right now, it's the perfect place to pair deep blue writing with a soft blue top layer (below, right).

On your invitations, use a similar technique with your envelope liners. We think this example below is really beautiful with a love quote written on the inside of each.

Coral, Blush, & Gold

This peppy color combo is a surefire winner for spring. Because spring is such a lighthearted time of year, use gold as an accent rather than the main color for this palette. Fill your bouquets and centerpieces with bright, lovely blooms in blush, coral, and cream (below).

Juxtapose sweet and feminine details with more modern ones to make this color palette even more impactful. This country wedding's tablescape below features lace and coral ribbons down the length of the table underneath chunky brass candlesticks. And this genteel watercolor table number sits alongside distinctive gold flatware.

You can also mix and match with other themes. This traditional wedding featured pretty floral aisle decor and used golden Moroccan lanterns to give their ceremony just a tiny touch of boho.

Lavender & Gray

The pairing of lavender and gray is so representative of spring's moodier weather, kind of like the first budding crocus on a rainy day. This is such a pretty palette that you may even want to wear it for yourself with a gray skirt and lavender lace bodice.

You can also have your bakery design a wedding cake with swirls of lavender and gray ombre in fondant (above, left).

Lavender, the herb, is a fitting choice for bouquets and centerpieces because of its grayish hue, that looks so captivating with gray details. Not only does lavender effortlessly blend in with the palette, but it also will make your wedding smell amazing.

Fiesta Brights

For those late spring weddings that want to highlight all the gorgeous colors of summer or for those couples that really want their wedding to pop against a cloudy spring day, this palette is for you! With just about every color in the technicolor rainbow this color scheme is for bold brides with modern sensibilities.

You know how sometimes we refer to "pops" of color? Well, a fiesta palette is more of an explosion! Pair juicy hues with equally saturated colors for a stunning reception. Layer lots of different textures and patterns to create dynamic place settings (above). With this look, more is definitely more.

Hosting your spring fiesta in the desert? Use the cacti-covered landscape around you to bring even more attention to the colors. And don't be afraid to be a little playful, as with this Spanish tile wedding cake in shades of neon (above, right).

If your spring wedding is indoors, make your space extra colorful with loads of papel picado garland and fringed paper lanterns (above). Indoor event? Walls covered in streamers and balloons can convert a blank loft space into party central.

Simple Neutrals

Nothing emphasizes spring's green grass and leaves more than a neutral palette. Great for an outdoor wedding (or one with lots of greenery in the decor), cream, beige, and gray is a timeless color scheme. This rustic wedding (below) kept the palette simple with a wooden backdrop and a groom in casual neutrals.

Cream roses and dusty miller combine to make a compelling neutral statement in this bouquet above.

Perhaps no mismatched bridal party look is easier to achieve than those in creamy neutrals. Give your friends free rein to choose their own dress in one of these sophisticated shades (above, left). Your invitation can be equally chic, in shades of cream and taupe (above, right).
