Before we lift up our champagne glasses and smooch the cutie next to us at midnight, we have to give 2015 a proper farewell. We decided to pay homage to the six things we loved most about this year. Cheers to brows, lipstick, Gigi Hadid and more!

Lips found new and unique ways to shine this year. From the ombré effect and deep, dark hues to frosted and glossy finishes, bold lips found their way into our hearts ... and stayed there. We look forward to seeing this lipstick love flourish in 2016.

Although this makeup trend stole the spotlight around 2014, it really made its presence known this year. Contouring took on a life of its own as, suddenly, people were learning how to contour EVERYTHING. Cheekbones, nose, collarbone, arms, neck, you name it - there's a tutorial for it!

We haven't seen people this excited since Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot! It's like we were all counting the days until the creators of one of the most popular eye shadow palettes unveiled its latest charcoal-colored masterpiece. Heck, looking at the palette still brings tears of joy to our eyes. But, don't cry, it'll ruin your eye shadow.

In our eyes, Gwen can do no wrong, and that goes for her makeup products, too. So, when Urban Decay partnered with her on a fancy new UD x Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette, it was like all of our makeup dreams had come true!

This year marked the revival of the supermodel. Shining stars in the form of long-legged, beautiful creatures became our makeup muses and inspired us in every way, from our makeup choices to our hair colors. And, no one shined brighter than our girl Gigi Hadid. The blonde bombshell rocked 2015 with her marathon of runway appearances and a larger-than-life gig with makeup giant Maybelline. Well done Gigi, well done.

No one had a better year than your eyebrows. Between the makeup tutorials, multitude of products, tips and tricks, brows were the most celebrated facial feature of the year. It would appear the reign bold brows is not over, so if you haven't already, get your brow game together!
