Beaded Sottero & Midgley Gown | Outdoor Castle Ceremony

Beaded Sottero & Midgley Gown | Outdoor Castle Ceremony

via

I love the way Love Lust List members Tub of Jelly Photography have captured the personality of our quirky Bride & Groom at their intimate outdoor wedding in Cumbria.

Each one is full of drama and detail and shows off their historic Augill Castle wedding venue perfectly, not to mention the love, style and decor.

Bailey's intricately beaded Sottero & Midgely gown is simply breathtaking as is the peach & gold infused banqueting reception complete with sweetheart top table and naked cake clumsily dripping with cherry bakewell filling! Mmm yum.

Bridal Outfit

Bailey The Bride: I loved my Sottero and Midgley dress. I brought it in Texas where I am from.

Grooms Attire

I think my handsome Groom looked just like Ryan Gosling in Crazy Stupid Love in his Hugo Boss suit.

Venue

I found our venue on Aguill Castle a while back and always kept going back to it as an idea for weekend breaks, then I realized you could rent the whole place out!

Colour Scheme/Decor

Our theme was low key bohemian chic lux AKA as far from stereotypical as I could possibly get without being going crazy on the theme.

Flowers

The flowers were amazing. English garden, asymmetrical, loose and wild.

Bridesmaids

NO BLACK. You would have thought I had kicked a puppy from the reaction I got when I told all the girls. WAIT. Lauren wore black. The sneaky...

Entertainment

Sheesh. Music is damn important at a wedding. Christian and I both love live music, we met in the live music capital of the world and the first time we really hung out was at a concert so it had to be good. Not kind of good, not okay, GOOD. But it also had to be chill enough to not overpower a small wedding of 40-ish people. For the ceremony we had a harpist. Turns out she had played for the likes of Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page. They had enjoyed her so much he called her afterwards to play at his cousin's wedding?! She could play basically anything under the sun and everybody sincerely enjoyed her Disney tunes. I stumbled upon the The Hope Street Busking Band one evening and was immediately taken by their sound. The vocalists both had very raw, strong voices.

Food

I love the naked cakes, fondant is for the birds! Plus with the money we saved skipping the fondant we got to have that much more cake! The cherry bakewell filling gave it that quirky twist we wanted. I love how clumsy it looked with the filling dripping out of the sides.

Photographer & Videographer

Out of all the decisions I had to make about the wedding, the one that worried me the most was finding the right photographer. I dont remember how I found Betty but I knew that I immediately loved her and her work! She somehow makes the pictures dramatic but simple at the same time. The rich colors and fresh angles really called to my quirky style that was prevalent in the rest of the wedding arrangements. She has an eye and can catch an epic shot that a lot of photographers would miss. Plus my Maiden name is Tubb and it's Tub of Jelly Photography! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect but the best part of all of has been pictures that Betty took for us!
