I have a real treat for you DIY couples out there today. WWW teamed up with Interflora on this delightful flower crown tutorial a few weeks back now. With WWW intern Anna's sumptuous concept, Interflora brought it into glorious life.

Decadent rich toned blooms work wonderfully against the ferns and foliage. And you know what, it's super simple to re create. I have a real fondness for the flower crown (yes I was a flower crown bride) and I think there are definitely here to stay. YAY.

- 2 x black Bacarra roses

- 2 x Cool Water roses

- 3 x cream spray roses

- 1 x bunch of asparagus fern

- 1 x bunch of french ruscus

- 1 x hydrangea head

- 3 x Phalaenopsis orchid flowers

- 1 x bunch of kalanchoe

- Ivy leaves

- Florist wire

- Florist tape

- Scissors

To make the base of your crown, tape two pre-cut lengths of florist wire together with florist tape. Cover the wire by wrapping a length of florist tape around it.

TOP TIP: To get the perfect fit, measure around your head with a length of yarn and cut your florist wire to size.

Bend the wire into a circle, and twist the ends together to secure. For extra strength, wrap a small piece of florists tape around the join.

Using a pair of sharp scissors, cut the stems of the flowers and foliage to approximately 2 inches long. Mount several ivy leaves onto wire by stitching a length of thin florists' wire through each leaf. Fold the wire in half, and wrap one length around the stem to secure

TOP TIP: Wrap a length of florist tape around the stem and wire to create a cleaner finish.

To mount the flowers onto florist wire, fold a length of wire in half and hold against the flowers' stem. Wrap one end of the wire around the stem, in the same way as wrapping wire around the ivy leaves.

TOP TIP: Wrap a length of florist tape around the stem and wire to create a cleaner finish.

Repeat until all flower heads and foliage are mounted on florist wire.

Begin to arrange the wired flowers in clusters to the crown, making sure to alternate the colours and different flower sizes as you work along the length.

TOP TIP: Start the crown with a length of asparagus fern clustered with a large hydrangea head and a small spray of kalanchoe for a pop of colour.

To attach the flowers to the crown, wrap a long length of florist tape around each stem, building up layers of foliage and flowers as you work around the crown.

TOP TIP: Trim any excess wires and stems as you work around the crown to keep it neat and comfortable to wear!

Continue building up layers of flowers and foliage around the crown

TOP TIP: Add foliage such as french ruscus, ivy leaves and asparagus fern between the flowers to create a balanced, natural look
