The beauty that is Fransmari and Helgard is on Wedding Friends today. When we at Wedding Friends came across this wonderful wedding on Jack and Jane Photography's blog, we just had to feature it. A timeless beauty, she is, simply spectacular. The wedding was at Green Leaves just outside of Pretoria near the beautiful town of Hartbeespoortdam. A slightly quirky yet romantic affair, a wedding that makes one smile! The make up was done by Sam Scarborough hair and make up, and Fransmari looked stunnig. Flowers and décor by Pebble and Lace and the brides dress by White Lilly Bridal.

We met in our church. Both of us were extremely shy, and for a long while only made
eye contact and exchanged the occasional smile. Eventually we somehow got enough
courage to speak to each other and exchanged numbers. Helgard being six years my
senior, made dating a bit difficult at that stage. Me being in high school and him being at
varsity. Helgard also moved to Johannesburg during that time, so there were no more
smile-exchanges during church hour. We managed to stay in contact, and during my
matric year we met for coffee, and never looked back from there.

I have a deep love of cupcakes (well any kind of cake, actually) and all sayings starting
with "Keep Calm and...". Helgard got these beautifully decorated cupcakes spelling
"Will you marry me?" And a cake that said "Keep Calm and say Yes" from my favourite
bakery, then decorated his house with candles, roses and champagne for a romantic
surprise.

Definitely walking down the aisle! Helgard and I had not seen each other for a week prior
to the wedding, it was such a special moment seeing him all suited up and trying not to cry. Truly the most memorable moment ever!

Definitely the best day of our lives, with the most important people present, filled with
love and loads of laughter.

Get a wedding planner. Have your dress made, because your dress should express your unique style. Be picky with your suppliers. They should be as excited about your wedding as you are!
