It was summertime when they first met, during a Physics course at Longwood. Although they sat across the room from each other, there was a definite unspoken attraction, as they frequently found themselves making eye contact. However, fate was not on their side this time because they both were involved with other people; but that would soon change. Almost one year later, after both of their relationships had ended (oddly around the same time), Zack seized a strategic Facebook conversation opportunity which led to a first date, an 80's party at his fraternity. Afterwards, they found themselves slow dancing alone to a John Mayer album. It sounds pretty silly, but it was a special moment for both of them because that was the moment when they realized that they had something truly special. Sparks flew and the rest is history. They dated for almost 5 years until one day, beneath the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, he got down on one knee and proposed!

Born abroad, but raised as a Maryland girl through and through, Rebekah knew that her love for weddings made her a perfect fit for the Bayside Bride team. After interning for the blog in Fall of 2011 she worked hard to finish her degrees in English & Media and Communications at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Graduated and ready to return, she wants nothing more than to pass her love of event planning & weddings onto brides-to-be.
