The beautiful Jana and TG recently got married just outside of Lamberts Bay in the Western Cape on The Groovlei Guest Farm. The mist covered the whole wedding ceremony, such a stunning sight! Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

In June 2011, Jana came to South Africa on a carefree vacation to visit family and
friends. The weekend after she landed, she was invited to attend a winter camp at
Hartbeespoort Dam and TG also went. There was instant attraction and TG and Jana
spent the whole time chatting and laughing and watching sunrises. When the weekend
came to an end, TG called Jana over and said, "Thank you for making me feel something
for you". After Jana returned to Canada, TG immediately booked a plane ticket to visit
her in Canada that following December. After three years of long distance, Jana moved
to South Africa in May 2015.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

This past December, Jana and TG went to Canada to visit Jana's immediate family. After
asking Jana's parents for permission, TG proposed in down town Calgary, Alberta, on 19
December, 2014. All the skyscrapers and trees in the vicinity had Christmas lights and
ornaments on them, creating an amazing atmosphere with the snow. The couple was
walking and holding hands when TG turned to Jana and said he just can't wait any more
as he went down on one knee, pulled out the Schoonraad family ring and asked Jana to
marry him. Jana, of course, said yes.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The wedding day was perfect. It could not have gone off any better. The wedding
ceremony took place right on the beach and Jana's father gave her away on a aisle of rose
petals. Both Jana and TG were barefoot in the sand, standing under a stunning bouquet
of proteas and lilies. Fog started rolling in and surrounded the ceremony, creating a
incredible mystic atmosphere. The ceremony was short and sweet, followed by TG and
Jana being endowed with dried bougainvillea used as confetti.

The party which followed was filled with the most amazing food, from prawns and
calamari to roast lamb and fresh baked bread - all made on the open fire at the venue.
Another open fire was placed in the middle of the intimate venue which provided a sense
of warmth and coziness to the evening. The night ended with TG and Jana opening up
the dance floor for more fun and games, which lasted into the night.

The most memorable moment was when Jana joined TG at the front of the rose petal
covered sand aisle and as the pastor began speaking, he placed his arm around Jana for
the whole sermon to keep her warm.

Also, that first moment when you are announced husband and wife is an incredible
feeling.
