How to throw a joint bachelor/bachelorette party at a baseball game

Getting married in your thirties can be different than getting married in your twenties. Most of our friends are couples, and we all share in the enjoyment of each other's company. There are no "his" friends and "her" friends, they are simply "our friends." Add in our 10-month-old daughter, and the need for typical bachelor and bachelorette parties goes right out the window.

We have a mutual love of baseball (even though our favorite teams hail from opposites sides of the Bay) and beer, so our wedding party decided to throw us a joint "stag" party at our local Triple A baseball game - the Fresno Grizzlies.

We had front row seats right down the first baseline. The team mascot, Parker, stopped by to wave hello.

Our names flashed on the Jumbotron and were announced over the loud speaker. The whole stadium cheered for us.

Our friends even incorporated our superhero wedding theme into the festivities with homemade party hats (complete with our own wedding hashtag), temporary tattoos, and asking everyone to wear superhero shirts.

There were even fireworks after the game. And then we all went to the beer garden next door to the stadium and continued our celebration until closing.

We felt like celebrities for the night! It was truly one of the best moments of our lives and made us look forward to sharing our wedding day with these wonderful people all that much more.

We love offbeat bachelor/bachelorette/hen's parties... we want to see yours! Share your story with us right over here.
