No one can deny the amazing effects yoga has on the body. Who doesn't love a firmer booty, toned abs and strong, slim limbs, right? Why are these moves and benefits reserved for the below-the-neck region? Newsflash, they're not! Recently, buzz has been building around exercises to slim and tone your face muscles and prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Heck, they even have an official name: face yoga. Dying to give it a shot? Check out our rundown on why and how face yoga can get your face into the best shape ever! Can we get an "ommmm"?

Problem: Crow's Feet, Under-Eye Bags and Puffiness

Facial Yoga Move: The V

This method, created and touted by face yoga expert and trainer Danielle Collins, helps revive your peepers and fight dreaded lines and wrinkles. Who doesn't want that? Simply put both of your middle fingers between your brows and then place your index fingers to the outer corners of your eyes, essentially making two peace signs. Apply pressure to the outer corners of your eyes with your index fingers. (You're literally creating a "V" shape under your eyes, hence the name of the exercise.) Look up and start to move the lower eyelid upward, so your eyes are starting to squint. Relax and repeat for six more reps. After your last rep, give your eyes a 10-second resting period by squeezing them shut.

Problem: Turkey NeckFacial Yoga Move: The Neck Lift

No matter how much pampering you do to your face and how clear and wrinkle-free it may be, your neck can still be a dead giveaway of your age. Don't let wrinkles, lines and saggy skin on your neck ruin your youthful look. Try this move created by Fumiko Takatsu, creator of the Face Yoga Method, which helps tighten the skin on the neck and jawline. All you have to do is pucker up those lips to the side as much as you possibly can. Now, turn your head to the side you are puckering up toward. Lift up your head just slightly until you can feel the stretching in your neck. Repeat the movement on the opposite side and do four more reps for each side.

Problem: Smile LinesFacial Yoga Move: The Smile Smoother

As much as we love it, smiling can actually work against us, as, over time, permanent lines start to form in the not-so-cute parenthesis shape. Collins suggests a move that involves hiding your teeth with your lips and making an "O" shape with your mouth. Then, shift gears by smiling as wide as you can, while still keeping those teeth tucked away. Repeat this transitional move six times. After the sixth move, hold the smile and place your index finger under your chin. Move your jaw up and down as you tilt your head back. Relax for a second and repeat two more times.

Problem: Forehead Lines: Facial Yoga Moves: The Forehead Smoother

All that frowning and thinking could be doing a real number on your forehead! Follow Takatsu's lead and try a move that will keep those lines at bay. Form both of your hands into the shape of a fist. Place fists to forehead so that the knuckles of your middle and index finger apply the most pressure and drag your fists downward and away from each other, maintaining pressure as you go.. Repeat four times.
