10 Colorful & Modern Wedding Centerpieces

10 Colorful & Modern Wedding Centerpieces

via

We love all of the lively, juicy colors we are seeing in weddings this summer! Here are 10 fabulous modern wedding centerpieces to inspire your own decor choices.

Brights on Brights

Above, if you are having a fiesta wedding full of dynamic hues, more is definitely more. Use orange and aqua linens to highlight the centerpieces filled with flowers in equally radiant colors like coral and fuchsia.

DIY a Rainbow

Got a family with mad origami skills? Put them to work to create these fantastic paper crane centerpieces in a rainbow palette (below, left).

Entertain Your Guests

Particularly if you are hosting a geek-chic affair, a bowl full of Lego bricks will quickly be the most talked about element of your reception (above, right). After all, why should you have all the DIY fun?

Sprinkles are Everything & Always

There is something absolutely cheerful about sprinkles. You just can't be in a bad mood when they are around. Fill tall shot glasses with sprinkles to hold up fluffy pink cotton candy. Your friends won't miss the flowers. We promise.

Play With Your Food

If you have a deeper color palette, you can still play up your rich colors with fruits and veggies like eggplants, artichokes, apples, pomegranates, and dark berries (below, left).

Brights Against White

We love this festive (and nearly monochromatic) fuchsia and orchid combo (above) in white planters on white linens. The stark background gives the flowers that much more "pop" in the decor.

Stretch Your Budget...Colorfully

Need to really make your flower budget stretch? Create your own painted vases in your palette and place a single bloom in each (below).

Create a Garden

Paper projects have quickly become the darling of the DIY blogosphere. These gorgeous and bright flowers (below) can be turned into a runner on a long table lined with burlap or Kraft paper.

Geometric Sculptures

Another way to embrace paper crafts is one of this season's hottest trends: geometric details. These shapes-on-sticks below are made using folded paper cutouts. This muted jewel tone palette is a lot of fun, but these shapes would look terrific in any scheme.

Clear Some Room on the Table

Large, complicated centerpieces can take up a lot of room on your reception tables. If you love the idea of something really creative and colorful enough to liven up your space, go vertical! These hot air balloon planters hang above simple centerpieces on each table, with the table numbers "floating" below.
