Bright Fiesta Wedding Details

If there is one trend poised to completely dominate weddings in 2015, it's fiesta details. Bright and lively, these fiesta wedding decor pieces contribute to an instant party atmosphere-perfect for a fun, summer event.

All of our favorite fiesta weddings have one thing in common: a truly triumphant ceremony arch. Not only is this detail beautiful for your guests to look at, setting the tone for the festive reception ahead, but it also creates a dynamic backdrop for your ceremony photos.

Tissue paper flowers and poms are available in an endless supply of colors, and give your arch cool texture. Hang lots of different sizes and types of paper fans and garland (above) or create a full swath of ruffled flowers to frame the two of you (below).

You know that expression about less being more? Totally doesn't apply to fiesta weddings. So, bold brides who live for color-saturated spaces: go nuts. This backdrop with poms and garland on top of long silk ribbons in a rainbow of hues (below) is totally for you.

Below (left), the same technique of poms and ribbons is used, but in an even larger scale with even brighter colors. Seriously, there is no muting down a fiesta wedding.

Papel picado is the paper flag garland that has become a huge trend this year, not just at fiesta weddings but with many modern themes. Hang from the rafters (above, right) or just around tables (below) and chairs. You can have papel picado personalized with your names or special messages, or you can just buy them in beautiful designs.

Papel picado has also become so synonymous with fiesta weddings, that we see the design inspiring all sorts of invitations, such as this vibrant cherry save-the-date below.

Or you can use papel picado style favor tags. These cute hot pink ones (below) accompany a maraca at each place setting.

Another popular fiesta trend is finding fun ways to incorporate loteria cards (Mexico's version of bingo). They look a bit like tarot cards and feature colorful illustrations. Use them as cheerful escort cards to pep up your welcome table.

For a sparkly favor, attach a loteria card to a matchbox and cover in glitter in all shades (below). Inside, you can ditch the matches to fill with Mexican candies or Chiclets.

Need even more ways to show off your love of bright color? Tissue paper fringe is often used as a decoration at fiesta weddings, and can be added to items that your friends and family will naturally gravitate towards. These pink favor boxes (below) are adorned with different colored fringe, creating a mirthful table sure to elicit delight.

Of course, there is no place more popular for tissue paper fringe than a pinata. Crack open one instead of a first dance, or find mini-pinatas and fill them with candy for a whimsical favor (below).

If you want your fiesta wedding to have a modern twist, pick a favor that is less traditional and more graphic. These pins below would not only be a great favor, but also really cute in a cluster of two or three on an usher's lapel.
