Clare here - so stoked to be making a little cameo appearance on the blog, it's good to be chatting to y'all, and oh BOY, do I get to chat fun to my festival babes today! Presenting the Magic 8; our fave festivals for the summer of 2015!

Yas, girls YAS!

We are talking festivals near and far, big and small, crazy and classy; from the British institution that is Glastonbury to the sunny shores and huge drops of Croatia's Hideout festival, it'll be music to your ears (you know you missed my puns, don't pretend like you didn't!)

I can hear ya: 'Sure great, but I'm kinda on a wedding mission here, Clare, time is planning!'

Lady, hear me when I say that there is HUGE inspiration to be taken from festivals (I mean, our entire blog is based on this concept, ha!) but for real, wandering around festivals can really get those playful, creative and straight up beautiful synapses popping in you mind! The colours, the garlands, the venues and the entertainment (wood-fired hot tub anyone?!) it's a sure fire way to get the inspiration y'all seek to make your wedding something extraordinary!

...Like you needed anymore convincing to head to a festival this summer, ha!

I'm gonna kick things off with a legend, it's just how I roll!

Of course, of course this was gonna be number one.

When? June 24th - 28th

Where? Henham Park, Somerset

Who? To mention but a few that caught my eye: Alt J / Songhoy Blues / Kanye West (incase you've had your head under a rock) / Deadmau5 / FKA Twigs... I could go on!

What to Expect: Whelp, if you've got tickets: expect mud (hashtag real talk), some serious festival flags and a major experience (Glasto is about SO much more than just the music!)

And if you don't have tickets: the BBC are set to have some super awesome coverage (as always) so don your fave feather headdress (I know you've got more than one, it's a Festival Bride standard) crack open a beer and wave your glow stick from the comfort of your sofa! (mud-smeared face optional!)

You get the vibe, it's kinda a big deal!

Next up we're going overseas...

Guaranteed sunshine, say whaaaaaat?!

When? June 28th - 2nd June

Where? Zrce Beach, Croatia

Who? Duke Dumont / Eats Everything / Gorgon City / Jamie Jones / Loco Walls / Sigma ...A.K.A HUGE beats.

What to Expect: In short?! Boat parties. Pool parties. A shed load of sunshine and some pretty amazing sets.

Seriously though, who's with me?!

Next we're keeping up that beach vibe, but playing a little closer to home...

Swoon. Just swoon.

When? July 23rd - 27th

Where? Castle Hill, Devon

Who? Bombay Bicycle Club / Laura Marling / Passenger / Angus & Julia Stone ...No but really, hearts for eyes!

What to Expect: Super chilled, family friendly, river-side vibes with plenty of feastin' and relaxin'.

This festival is some serious soul food! The venue alone, I mean!

We're hittin' up a firm favourite next...

Isn't this just a given by now?! FBrides loves SGP!

When? July 23rd - 26th

Where? Mill Hill Field, Abbots Ripton

Who? Jungle / Public Service Broadcasting / Kate Tempest (baaaaabe!) / Marika Hackman ...Seriously, I can't!

What to Expect: Surrealism. Hedonism and a childhood idealism. It's like nothing else.

Like a whole other whole, right?!

DREAMY.

Peace. Love. Wilderness.

When? August 6th - 9th

Where? Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire

Who? Bjork / Ben Howard ...Nothing else matters! Jokes, but seriously those two alone are ticket-worthy!

What to Expect: I think the Guardian summarise it pretty well: "A place where art, intellectualism and fantastic gastronomy share equal billing with music"

This is gonna be such a beautiful festival.

Super laid back hen party anyone?!

Refined Festival. Stunning Location.

When? September 3rd - 6th

Where? Portmeirion, Wales

Who? Grace Jones / Belle & Sebastian / Mark Ronson (DJ set) / Metronomy / Ghostpoet ...Portmeirion itself is quite the headliner though!

What to Expect: Class and culture on every level in a fantasy location. This festival is big news.

Wales, you are pressing all the right buttons! No. 6 is not to be missed!

Coming in at seven...

This one's close to my Midlander heart... Ultimate Hippy Happiness with a side of Family Friendly.

When? August 27th - 30th

Where? Secret Country Estate, Northamptonshire

Who? The Birthday Party / Young Fathers / Natural Born Storytellers / Ed Gillespie ...You'll definitely find yourself some dang fine new music at Shambala!

What to Expect: Euphoric colours, a real life 'Guess Who?' tournament (Yes, I may have been to the regional tournament!) and chill times in the Shambala Springs!

And it's right on my doorstep, YAS CLARE!
