Fun, Laid-Back Farm Wedding: Alli + Bobby

Fun, Laid-Back Farm Wedding: Alli + Bobby

If you've been reading GWS for a while, you probably know we're BIG fans of 31 Bits jewelry! (31 Bits is part of a movement revolutionizing the way people do business, placing value on both the creator and the consumer. The artisans in their program are receiving a sustainable income and holistic education, empowering them to rise above poverty.) Since the company itself is bursting with style, it didn't take much convincing to share the beautiful wedding of one of the founders, Alli (and her hunny, Bobby) when our friends at Troy Grover Photographers sent it our way! Let's hear a little more from Alli about the big day:

Both Bobby and I have very laid-back personalities, so when it came to our wedding we wanted it to reflect our personalities in a fun, playful, and classy way. Jesi Haack and her team did an AMAZING job combining my love of whites and neutrals paired with fresh greenery. Our wedding venue Bravo Farms had a quirky, country vibe that brought some unique and rustic elements, and served up delicious tex mex cuisine! We also incorporated a lot of little details that were significant to us. For example: Minutes before Bobby proposed we spotted a dear in the hills - hence the deer place card holders and the antlers on the barn.

Pretty 31 Bits pieces above and a gorge bouquet by our girl Summer Watkins, of Grey Likes Weddings, below!

How sweet is this line up of 'maids in Anthropologie?!

With event design by Jesi Haack Designs and planning + execution by Carly Rae Designs, you know things are gonna turn out amazingly! The beautifully designed ceremony was the perfect blend of rustic + whimsical. GWS approved!

Since Bobby was a little boy he'd been dreaming of the moment when he'd see his bride walking down the aisle. So needless to say, it was VERY important to him that we didn't do a first look - he'd been anticipating this moment his whole life! His reaction when he saw me was priceless (let's just say there was a lot of tears)! That was by far the most memorable moment for both of us!

Processional: We Bought a Zoo - Jonsi

Recessional: Compass - Lady Antebellum

First Dance: Without You - Keith Urban

Travel is very important to us, so instead of a guestbook we had people pin spots on a map that we should travel to next!

Such cute portraits of the newlyweds!

Relax and enjoy the process! Wedding planning can be scary, frustrating, and daunting... but don't let it be!! We made a point of carving out date nights and intentional time together, which is SO needed when you're in wedding mode! Try to limit the amount of time you spend on Pinterest - it can easily consume you and cause you to second guess all of the decisions you've made. Also, don't try and do it all by yourself - ask for help!!
