Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

We were introduced in 2007 by one of my college friends, whom also happen to be of
Eneil's old high school friends. With both Eneil and I being in the hospitality industry,
we used to cater the same functions in and around Cape Town. Working together on a
regular basis and the occasional social gathering sparked a mutual interest and it was
shortly after Eneil's birthday in the winter of 2008 when that spark turned into a flame
and the rest is, as they say, history.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

It was the 50th birthday weekend of my father and his twin sister, when Eneil asked my
father for my hand in marriage. Overcome with joy, my father was anxious for Eneil to
finally propose after 5 years. So anxious, he wanted Eneil to propose at the birthday
dinner. Luckily, sanity prevailed and my father left him in peace. Blissfully unaware, I
went on my merry way the next morning. All of a sudden, Eneil got down on one knee,
took out a ring and asked me to be his wife. An overwhelming sense of excitement
ensued. Word spread like wildfire and we enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch as a
newly engaged couple.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

The entire day was perfect and we will always treasure every moment. From the early
morning coffee & freshly baked croissants with my family and bridesmaids, to seeing
Eneil through my teary eyes for the first time walking down the aisle. One of the
highlights, if not the highlight of the day was when we surprised all of our guests with
our Waltz on Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" as our first dance or an extract from
Eneil's speech when he said, "My love for you will grow every day. Today I love you
more than I did yesterday, and I promise that tomorrow I will love you more than today."

A beautiful day filled with love and laughter spent with 76 of our dearest and nearest
friends and family.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Send out your save the dates and invitations as soon as possible. This way you provide
your guests, especially traveling from far, enough time to make their travel
arrangements.

Have fun planning your special day. Involve your fiancé. Remember it is a day that will
remain forever in your hearts.

Finalise and agree on your guest list as soon as possible. Do not feel obliged to invite
anyone you do not keep very close ties with. It is not always financially possible to invite
everyone.

Prepare your budget meticulously and stick to it.

Things go wrong on the night. They always do, at every wedding. Remember, your
guests will not notice this unless it visibly bothers you.

Make a weekend of it - plan a dinner or casual braai with your family and wedding party
a couple of days before the wedding and a breakfast or brunch the day after to catch up
on the wedding gossip you might have missed.

Most off all, take in every moment you share with your husband-to-be on your wedding
day - it flies by, before you know it the DJ plays the last song.
