Eleonore & Mathieu

I. Love. Paris. So naturally, I love this wedding. Eleonore's modern and short dress teamed with a vest underneath is perfect Parisian chic. I love the idea of switching up your wedding outfit for the evening and having the vest meant she could easily and subtly change her top half to something more sparkly for the night time celebrations. You might also notice her boots. Oh the boots.

Effortlessly captured by colour masters Navyblur (Eleonore and Mathieu look like total models in their portrait shots!), this wedding is gorgeous. Also, Eleonore's fringe and hair in general?! Might be taking a trip to the hairdresser's to get one cut in. This wedding also comes with a warning: cute (and very well dressed) kid alert.

Eleonore The Bride: We wanted to get married in London. After having understood our families did not find the idea very convenient and appealing, we decided to stick to Paris. We already knew of La Cartonnerie which we love very much. It is probably one of the greatest and most sincere places that would suit the idea we had in mind. Unfortunately, late parties are not possible there. After trying many places in Paris, we finally completed the day with another Venue for dinner and party: Le Salon des Miroirs, not too far from la cartonnerie.

Colours & Themes

Our 'theme' and general feel was based around Rock and modern. I didn't want a conventional wedding dress. Inspired by rock and England, I opted for a shorter dress and vest, and a glam golden variation for the dinner/night. My flowers were simple and mostly white meadow flowers.

The colour scheme was initially almond green and silver. Then a few other colours invited themselves on the wedding invitation, such as light orange. But mainly white was present. La cartonnerie is such an amazing place by itself you don't much in the way of extra decoration. We just hung some funny pictures of us and let the guys there do the rest.

Mathieu wore an electric blue colour suit with a liberty bow tie. They were the perfect match for a non-serious Parisian hipsterish rock and roll mood.

Food

Our wedding lunch was prepared by Marie Chemorin. She worked with inspiration from our crazy love for England; Hamburgers with green apple and pork, small Tea sandwiches, Asian curry as if you were on Brick Lane, sausages and herbs, ginger ale, etc.

Photography

The colorful acid shots and funny mises en scène we discovered on Navyblur's website pleased us very much. Being two and from the UK was the final argument to get them onboard!
