Some places are lovely even on the grayest of days. Venice is such a magical, beautiful and ancient city and one that is a huge inspiration to couples from the farthest reaches of the globe. Oksana, the model in this shoot, is from Russia but always wanted to marry in Venice. With this styled shoot by Warmphoto, in a way, she realised her dream! The team for this shoot chose locations off the beaten path, searching out hidden parts of the city in deserted streets and secluded canals spanned by Venice's typical humpbacked bridges.

The team from Warmphoto sought to convey the magical feeling of Venice as well as the advantage of having a wedding in this most romantic of cities. The city is perfect for intimate weddings as well as photo sessions: there are so many beautiful churches, squares, bridges and so much ancient architecture. Since Venice is often associated with water, and it was apt that on the day of the shoot there was a more or less constant drizzle of rain. The weather however lends a special feeling to the images, showing the city in a slightly darker light: full of the smell of the sea and seagulls, poetically sad and most definitely atmospheric.
