From With Love & Embers: L aurel and Scott's wedding was an intimate backyard DIY wedding. Together they celebrated their love and union with their closest friends and family members amongst flowers and DIY decorations that Laurel, the bride, made with her sister. Their day was hosted in the backyard of Scott's family's backyard that had an amazing buttercup field that was in bloom.

Accept Help from Others

From The Bride: A ccept other people's offers to help with the wedding and avoid the temptation to try and do everything yourself! It can be very hard for me, and I'm sure lots of other DIY brides, to give up control, but fight the urge to be overly concerned with every tiny detail.

When you're doing a DIY wedding, there are lots of small projects that helping hands make go by much more easily. Family and friends will offer to help and they're not just trying to be polite! Accept their help and take advantage of the great talents your friends and family have

Do it Yourself ampersand seat sign

How adorable is this twine wrapped ampersand bride and groom seat accessory. And would you believe it is super easy to make yourself! Just pick up a spool of twine, a wooden ampersand sign, and some hot glue at your local craft store and and follow the steps below:
-Start by hot gluing the end of your twine to the ampersand.
-Then slowly begin to wrap the entire ampersand with your twine.
-Once you have finished tie off the end and secure it with a small amount of hot glue.
