Beautiful Bloom-Filled Winery Wedding

Beautiful Bloom-Filled Winery Wedding

via

Good morning lovely readers, we hope you guys had as nice a weekend as we did!

If you're finding it hard to ease back into the week, Jacob and Emelie's stunning wedding might be just what you need to brighten your day.

This gorgeous couple were married on Murrieta's Well Winery in the Livermore Valley wine region of California.

Their day was perfectly captured by Courtney Stockton Photography, and it was romantic, elegant and beautiful.

Highschool sweethearts who have spent most of their relationship on opposite sides of the country, Emelie and Jacob's wedding brought together their families, and friends from different aspects of their lives.

From a bright al fresco ceremony (with a stunning floral arch) laced with white and yellow tones to an atmospheric candlelit reception with touches of black and antique lace and pearls, their day was utterly chic and impossibly romantic.

Our Wedding in Three Words? Romantic, Exciting, and Elegant.

Our Wedding

Our theme was romantic and elegant. For our wedding colour palette, we chose neutral colors and black with a pop of light yellow.

Decor & Details

All the decorations were DIY by the bride, mother, and sister. This includes table decorations, seating charts, the cards table, and candy bar.

The Photography

Courtney Stockton was my sister's photographer for her wedding on the same day last year and she did a beautiful job. She is incredibly talented and all of her photos turn out beautiful! She is a pleasure to work with and makes it fun to take photos and I believe that shows in all of the photographs. She is absolutely amazing!!

Advice for Other Couples

Of course a lot of brides will use Pinterest and I definitely think it helped me with getting ideas, but I also looked on a lot of other wedding websites. As for budget tips I think picking a venue that has a lot of character and its own natural decorations really helps you save money on the decorations you would have to provide. I really wanted a romantic feel for my wedding so having it inside with the unique concrete walls, wine barrels, and dim lighting helped us with that. I loved all of the candles we had and then our one chandelier as a main focal point over the head table.

The Refreshments

We had signature cocktails, the bride's choice was a Cranberry Kiss and the groom's choice an Old Fashioned. We then had a formal sit down meal and wedding cake was a white cake with lemon and dark chocolate and fresh raspberry.

Favourite Moments

My husband and I met in highschool and have been in a long distance relationship for about 4 1/2 years out of the 6 we have been together, due to him going to a military academy on the East Coast. We both made some good friends throughout that time and they all strongly supported our relationship so it was nice to have some of our old high school friends and some of his military buddies from the East Coast come to celebrate our wedding with us. We had three flower girls and two ring bearers in our wedding because we couldn't decide on just one! It was a very special moment for us and my husband's family to see one specific flower girl walk down the aisle. Her name is Caitlyn and she was 3 years old and was born with cancer on her spine leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. About a year before our wedding she gained feeling up to her knees and she was able to start walking with a special walker! We really wanted her to be one of the flower girls in the wedding but we were not sure how she would do with getting down the aisle, however when it was her turn and the doors opened for her to walk down she bolted out the door and did awesome! She even went past our officiate and made everyone laugh. I cannot wait to see the video! Another special moment was sharing a dance with my sister and her husband. They got married on the same day last year so it was their 1 year anniversary. We played their first dance song and both danced to it. Our wedding was simply about celebrating the love we have for each other with our friends and family and about having a good time.

Beautiful! We love Californian wine country weddings, they're always so stylish and pretty, and it seems like the lighting there is just constantly dreamy (or maybe there's just so many awesome photographers!).

Thanks so much to Courtney Stockton Photography and of course, Emelie and Jacob for sharing their beautiful wine country wedding with us.
