The beautiful Brides of Winchester boutique is holding a Suzanne Neville designer day on 4th October 2014. The event will be attended by Suzanne Neville herself, there will be bubbles and canapés and the chance to view (and try on!!) Suzanne's latest collection Novello in the flesh.

Team RMW attended the Suzanne Neville catwalk show back in April and trust us, the Novello collection is truly, truly exquisite. There is a gown in there for every Bride - honestly we struggled to pick our favourite! You can see the Novello collection here - Adam captured the gowns perfectly for your viewing pleasure.

And not only can you meet Suzanne and try on the gorgeous gowns in the luscious surroundings of the Brides of Winchester boutique - but all orders placed at the event will receive a 10% discount.

Our lovely luxury bridal boutique is owned by Laura Ward. Laura originally worked as a wedding organiser in luxury hotels and absolutely loved the job, but the career ladder was calling so then spent many years as a corporate sales director. Laura was made redundant which coincided with planning her own wedding. Redundancy might sound less than ideal but it turned out to be one of the best things that has ever happened. After trying on several dresses in Hampshire she felt none of them were what she was looking for.

Laura eventually found her dress in Cheltenham and built up a close relationship with the designer for Chanticleer - Tracy Salt. Tracy and Laura discussed there was a clear gap in the market for a customer focused, luxury bridal shop in the Hampshire area and Tracy gave her the encouragement (and lots of training and support) needed to do it herself. Chanticleer was our first design label and as they say...it all went from there.

We choose to locate the business on the High Street of the beautiful Cathedral city of Winchester. At the time there wasn't a bridal shop in Winchester offering beautifully made bridal gowns and Winchester seemed the perfect location being easily accessible from neighbouring countries Dorset, Wiltshire, Berkshire, Surrey and West Sussex and with excellent transport links to London. Having such great transport links, we've also found many brides travel over from the Isle of Wight and even the Channel Islands. If that doesn't sound far, we've also had girls travel from Kenya and Argentina to see us!

The fact that Winchester is such a beautiful historic city with a great feel and lots of other independent retailers means that it's an enjoyable day out for our girls. There's a huge variety of good quality places to eat and for such a compact city it offers a wealth of interesting history combined with amazing shopping.

Our designer collection of wedding gowns are chosen by the experienced and passionate team at Brides of Winchester to offer the finest in bridal design and quality. Our collection appeals to Brides who care passionately that their dress is beautifully made, created with love using the finest fabrics, silks and hand embroideries. Our approach is honest, there's no hard sell and Brides are given as much or as little help as they need or want.

The designers we stock are Suzanne Neville, Sassi Holford, Stewart Parvin, Chanticleer, Nicola Anne, Blue Bridalwear and Pronovias. Every one of our designers have their own individual styles and so brides have a wide choice of wedding dresses, from slim fitting bias cuts and corseted fishtails, to full and romantic gowns.

Our incredible wedding gown designer, Suzanne Neville will be here at Brides of Winchester for an exclusive designer day on the 4th October. This will be an amazing event and a wonderful opportunity for brides to meet the incredibly talented Suzanne and be one of the first to see the new 2015 Novello Collection. Any lucky lady who books an appointment will have the opportunity to try on Suzanne's new dresses and discuss them with her personally. Suzanne will be on hand to add that little touch of magic to the final styling your big day. What's more there will be 10% off any dresses ordered on the day.

This exclusive event is by appointment only for which there is a charge of £20.00. This includes a glass of bubbly and canapés. All proceeds from the appointment charge will be donated to local charity Hampshire Riding Therapy Centre based in Eastleigh.
